For some reason I had never seen this movie, and Gram Parsons is probably one of my favourite singer/songwriters from the 60s and 70s.
The movie portrays a fictional rendition of the infamous heist of Gram Parson's dead body in 1973. Road manager(Johnny Knoxville) made an agreement with Parsons in life promising one another that they would cremate whoever passed away first out in the desert of Joshua Tree, California. Parsons stepfather had other plans, a formal ceremony in Louisiana. Knoxville snags the body from LA International Airport with the help of a hearse driving hippie fella. I don't want to go into much detail, but it ends up being a fairly decent movie.
Well if you have already seen it, good for you, I hope this post didn't ruin your afternoon. But you should check out Gram Parsons: Fallen Angel for a less unreal rendering.
